Welcome friends,
My name is Siddharth Rathore, and I have been a civil services aspirant from 2009 onwards. Over the years I have seen a huge proliferation of the market of IAS where an honest aspirant seems to be lost in the glaze of advertisements and banners. I, would make my best effort to break these shackles of chained knowledge which till now has been accessible to those with deep pockets. It is here that the utility of this blog comes in, providing seamless knowledge to everyone without any monetary considerations.
The objective of this blog is to update daily newspapers articles from the hindu, along with its associated issues related to it. eg: If i am posting on the issue of Syrian crisis of chemical weapons, I would also provide the details of CWC'1993, Geneva Protocol 1925, Hague Convention, role of OPCW etc. Although I would like to attach my files along with each article, but I not able decipher how that is possible, would like some suggestions on that aspect.
Apart from the current affairs, I would also like to update my notes on the blog with respect to each and every topic of GS mains which I have prepared over a number of years esp during 2013 mains (new syllabus). However, I cannot commit for the same as I have some upcoming teaching assignments coming my way. Although I would assure I will try my level best.
Now the question most of you must be asking is why such philanthropy, apart from the rhetoric of ethics and morals, its just the fact that I wish to bring a change in the education system and this is my starting venture.
Lastly, regarding my credentials, I have done double masters in economics from Delhi School of Economics and IGNOU in 2009 and 2012 respectively. Before that I completed Bachelors in Economics from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. With respect to Civil Services experience, I have appeared for 3 PT, qualifying each of them in 2010,2011 and 2013 and have one last attempt close to my chest.
I am starting this blog with posting all the issues relating to governance and IR that appeared in newspapers from 15th June 2013 to 15th October 2013. I have a soft copy of each and every article, marked and highlighted in PDF form from 1st August onwards till 15th october. I will have to find an avenue for me to upload the same. I will follow it up with a similar blog for economic issues, s&t, security, disaster management, social justice; related new items that came in hindu.
Finally within a span of a week I would update articles from 15th december onwards with their PDFs and associated notes.
Lastly, I would like to thank all my teachers in the field of civil services who have made me competent enough to teach and start this blog.
Request to all friends to spread the word around.
